Italian outlet CMW claim that Antonio Conte could take on-loan Tottenham man Clement Lenglet with him to Inter Milan in the summer, if Conte decides to return to the Nerazzurri – and Lenglet opts not to sign permanently at Spurs.
Lenglet, 27, has been a regular part of the Tottenham side this season. Playing 27 times, he has also shown crucial versatility in Conte’s back three. But the France star is at Spurs on a dry loan. They do not have a permanent clause.
The left-footed defender, as things stand, will return to Barcelona in the summer. But SPORT report that Barcelona are keen to sell him. Conte leaving Spurs could scupper the London club’s plans to sign him permanently, if there are any.
SPORT also say that other Premier League clubs are interested, with a fee of £16m required. Now, CMW claim that if Conte returns to Inter Milan with doubts over the future of current boss Simone Inzaghi, he may take Lenglet with him.

Conte could take Tottenham man Lenglet with him to Inter Milan
Lenglet has arguably been Tottenham’s best signing of 2022-23. Richarlison and Yves Bissouma have not lived up to their price tag. Pedro Porro and Arnaut Danjuma are still new. Ivan Perisic has been up and down, in terms of his form.
Destiny Udogie is impressing out on loan, while Djed Spence struggled again on the weekend – earning a 3/10 rating. Fraser Forster could have claims in terms of being the best, but Lenglet has been consistent in his 27 performances.
At £16m, he is a bargain. If Spurs cannot sign Alessandro Bastoni or Josko Gvardiol, then a move for Lenglet at such a low price makes sense. So, Tottenham have got to do everything they can to keep Lenglet. Conte at Inter is tempting.
