Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with Eintracht Frankfurt hitman Ante Rebic.

According to Bild, Eintracht Frankfurt are looking to offer forward Ante Rebic a new contract in order to keep him with the club amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Rebic, 24, joined Frankfurt on loan from Fiorentina in the summer of 2016, and after impressing under compatriot Niko Kovac in his first season, the deal was extended for another year last summer with an option to buy.
The forward – who can play up front or out wide – enjoyed a strong season last term with nine goals and two assists in 28 appearances, earning him a starting role for Croatia at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.

Rebic bagged the opening goal in Croatia’s 3-0 win over Argentina last week, and his exploits at the World Cup – coupled with a two-goal show in the DFB Cup final win over Bayern Munich – have sparked interest in his signature.

Bild now report that Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund are both keen to sign Rebic, and Frankfurt are now taking steps to ensure that he stays with the club having activated their option to buy him from Fiorentina.
It’s claimed that Frankfurt will offer to double Rebic’s €1.5million salary, meaning he would earn around £50,000 in wages if he stays with the German club and doesn’t pursue a huge move this summer.

Bild reported last week that whilst Rebic had been valued at around €40million (£35million), his World Cup displays may be raising his value – and sporting director Bruno Hubner even admitted that his performances in Russia are a major factor.
Both stories suggest that Tottenham may face a battle to land Rebic, but as a versatile forward, he would be ideal for Mauricio Pochettino’s front line.
