Manchester United have been linked with a shock move for Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater, by The Sun.
Drinkwater was on United’s books as a youngster before being sold to the Foxes in 2012, the same summer Paul Pogba left the Red Devils.
United signed Pogba for a world record fee this summer and The Sun report new boss Jose Mourinho wants to pay £30 million to sign Drinkwater in January to partner him in midfield.

United have lost their last three games, with Pogba among those coming in for criticism, but his midfield partner Marouane Fellaini is seen as more problematic.
Drinkwater played a key role in Leicester’s shock title success last season and recently signed a new contract with the Foxes.
Yet The Sun report the midfielder would find it difficult to turn down the chance of returning to United should the opportunity present itself.
The 26-year-old takes on the Red Devils at Old Trafford this weekend when Leicester visit United.
