Maurizio Pochettino – the son of manager Mauricio – is set to pen a scholarship deal with Tottenham.
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur have offered a two-year scholarship deal to Maurizio Pochettino, the son of manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Tottenham have been focused on developing young players since Pochettino’s arrival as manager in the summer of 2014, and moves to bring more prospects to White Hart Lane are looking imminent.

On Monday, Finnish side HJK Helsinki confirmed on their official website that midfielder Maximus Tainio – the son of former Spurs ace Teemu Tainio – has penned a two-year deal with Spurs, and will join the club in July.
Now, the Daily Mail report that another family affair could be on the cards at White Hart Lane, with Pochettino’s son Maurizio allegedly offered a scholarship deal.

Whilst Pochettino senior was an impressive centre back during his playing days with the likes of Newell’s Old Boys, Espanyol, Paris Saint-Germain and Bordeaux, as well as with the Argentinian national team, his 15-year-old son Maurizio is actually a winger.
It’s claimed that Maurizio has been playing for Tottenham’s under-16 side this season, and having impressed chief decision makers at White Hart Lane, he’s now been offered a scholarship deal with the club.
Should Maurizio put pen-to-paper on the deal, as is expected, then he’d become not the second but the third Pochettino at White Hart Lane.
Pochettino’s eldest son Sebastiano is currently a sports scientist at Tottenham having studied at Southampton Solent University, as the Spurs boss looks to bring both of his sons into his setup in North London.
