Andy Lonergan’s time at Leeds United looks set to be short lived.

Felix Wiedwald has looked set to move on for a number of months now, but it could be that Lonergan also departs Elland Road this summer.
Lonergan was only brought to Leeds last summer, but his first season at the Yorkshire side has been a disappointment.

The 34-year-old didn’t seize his opportunity to become Leeds’ permanent starter in goal, and was demoted to third choice by the end of the campaign.
Heckingbottom ended up finishing the season with youngster Bailey Peacock-Farrell in goal, and now Leeds want to sign another stopper in the coming months.

Leeds are said to be hunting Angus Gunn this summer, and if the England youth international does arrive, that could reportedly spell the end for Lonergan.
That would leave Leeds with Gunn and Peacock-Farrell competing for the number one shirt, with Heckingbottom putting his faith in youth rather than experience.
