West Ham United striker Andy Carroll is on the sidelines at the moment.

Carroll is on the sidelines at the moment due to a recurrence of an ankle problem which required surgery.
The 29-year-old former Liverpool and Newcastle United striker has started training with the Hammers, according to the report.
Encouraging for West Ham United
Carroll has struggled with injury problems and fitness issues during his time at West Ham so far, and there is a suggestion that the London club are pretty much set for the season without him.
After all, in recent seasons, the England international striker has not managed to make a major impact for the Hammers.

However, if the former Newcastle and Liverpool striker does regain fitness in the coming months, then he will provide manager Manuel Pellegrini with options, especially from the substitutes’ bench.
West Ham are 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with seven points from eight matches, four points above the relegation zone.
