According to Sky Sports, Borussia Dortmund winger Andriy Yarmolenko will be travelling over to Switzerland in order to undergo a medical with West Ham United.

The Hammers have boosted their back line with goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, right back Ryan Fredericks and centre back Issa Diop, but now the attention turns to bringing in attacking reinforcements.

West Ham have spent much of the summer attempting to strike a deal for Lazio winger Felipe Anderson, but now appear to have moved on from their pursuit of the Brazilian.

Speculation over the last 24 hours has suggested that West Ham are moving on to Borussia Dortmund winger Andriy Yarmolenko – and that move now appears to be very close.

Sky Sports report that West Ham have agreed a £17.5million fee with Dortmund for Yarmolenko, and he is now heading out to West Ham’s training camp in Switzerland to undergo a medical.

Ukrainian international Yarmolenko, 28, built up a huge reputation with Dynamo Kiev, hitting 137 goals in 341 games, including seven straight seasons where he scored double figures.

Last term, Yarmolenko struggled with Dortmund, ending the season with just six goals to his name in all competitions, and he only started 13 Bundesliga games in a miserable campaign.

Unsurprisingly, Dortmund appear to be keen on cashing in now, and 6ft 3in left-footed winger Yarmolenko seems to be heading to West Ham to give Manuel Pellegrini another creative option in the absence of Manuel Lanzini, trading in Champions League football with Dortmund for a move to the London Stadium.
