Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani is in Spain today to try to sign Rodrigo from Valencia, according to AS.

It has been reported that Leeds director of football Victor Orta has also travelled to Spain with Radrizzani, as the promoted Premier League club try to secure the services of the attacker from Valencia.

The Leeds chiefs will hold talks with Valencia president Anil Murthy today, and a deal could be struck for the transfer fee of €40 million (£36.08 million).

Leeds United transfer soon?

It seems that Leeds are very serious about signing Rodrigo, who can operate as a striker or as a winger.

The Spain international is in his prime, and the 29-year-old scored four goals and provided seven assists in La Liga and scored two goals and provided two assists in the Champions League for Valencia this past season, according to WhoScored.

With Radrizzani and Orta both having reportedly travelled to Spain, it does seem that a deal to bring the 29-year-old to Leeds this summer could be close.

With Patrick Bamford the only senior out-and-out striker in Marcelo Bielsa’s squad at the moment, Leeds need to bring in another senior player who can play upfront.
