Celtic defender Kieran Tierney is wanted by Napoli.

According to The Scottish Sun, Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti fears he will miss out on Celtic’s Kieran Tierney, because Mario Rui is refusing to leave the club.
Tierney, 22, finds himself in demand after four strong years in the Celtic first team, and he’s been tentatively linked with a move to Napoli.
Ancelotti has Faouzi Ghoulam at his disposal, but would seemingly want another option there as Napoli look to push Juventus in Serie A next season.
The Italian would want Tierney to replace Mario Rui, but the problem is that Rui – linked with a move away this summer – is refusing to leave the Stadio San Paolo.
If Rui doesn’t go, Napoli can’t justify a move for Tierney, and that has allegedly left Ancelotti worried that he’ll end up losing out on the Scottish international.
What’s interesting is that these reports have emerged just as the Daily Record claim that Arsenal have given up hope of signing Tierney after failing with a third bid.

That’s the two biggest suitors for Tierney seemingly struggling to put themselves in a position to sign him, and that both stories are emerging at the same time is absolutely perfect for the Bhoys.
There will of course be lingering concerns, but Celtic fans may be able to sleep a little easier now the interest in Tierney appears to be dying down a little.
