According to Foot Mercato, Borussia Dortmund now want to sign Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga amid claims Everton are cooling their interest.

It’s stated that three clubs in Italy are openly interested; Napoli, Roma and Atalanta. However, there are now more clubs joining the race.

Sevilla are thought to be interested, whilst Borussia Dortmund have joined the battle. The German side have seemingly been impressed with Boga this season, and could make a move.

A fee of around €20million (£17.5million) would be needed, but Chelsea can buy him back for €15million (£13million) per the terms of the deal they struck with Sassuolo in 2018.

The 23-year-old was a forgotten man at Chelsea, but has impressed in Italy. Eight goals and two assists in 24 Serie A games this season have ultimately made Boga a wanted man.

Everton have been strongly linked; The Express recently noted that Everton are ‘very keen’ on Boga. Carlo Ancelotti also wanted Boga at Napoli back in October according to Area Napoli.

However, Goal state that Boga is now a ‘low priority target’ for Everton, with the Toffees seemingly backing away and looking towards other targets.

Everton certainly need a winger, but could now see Boga head to Dortmund – and Everton would have to hope that some of their other targets are attainable.
