According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has added Isaac Price to his first-team squad.
Some were surprised on Monday evening as Everton named Price on the bench for the 0-0 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion.
It was a youthful bench featuring the likes of Kyle John, Harry Tyrer and Reece Welch, and it looks like Price is sticking around the first team setup.
It’s stated that Ancelotti is impressed with Price, with Marcel Brands also pleased with the 17-year-old’s progress.
Leighton Baines is in a professional development role at Everton, and it’s stated that he has acted as a link for Price on his route from Under-18’s to Under-23’s to first team.
The midfielder is making rapid strides at Everton, and given that he will be kept around the first-team squad, we could yet see a Premier League debut.

Price is a Northern Ireland youth international with a huge future ahead of him, and having a manager like Ancelotti take such an interest in him has to be big motivation.
Price is now likely to be on the bench against Tottenham on Friday night, and limited options in midfield may soon present him with a chance.
