Cuco Martina and Oumar Niasse could yet be given a chance to stay at Everton, according to the Daily Mail.

Martina and Niasse have fallen way down the pecking order at Everton in recent times, and it was widely expected that they would leave the club at the end of the month.

However, the Mail suggest that Carlo Ancelotti actually hasn’t deciding over the pair’s future yet.

The Everton boss wants to see how his side copes with the return to action, and if injuries do strike he could yet give them a contract extension.

Those deals are likely to only last until the end of the campaign, when Everton will be able to bring in new players.

But it still would be a shock if Everton even gave them short-term extensions.

Neither of the pair have really looked up to the standard required to represent the Toffees, with Niasse turning out to be a particularly poor buy for the Merseyside club.
