Liverpool and Manchester City are set to miss out on Jamal Musiala, according to The Guardian.
It has been reported that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Pep Guardiola’s City are monitoring the 17-year-old attacking midfielder, who left Chelsea for Bayern Munich in 2019.
The teenager will sign a new five-year incentivised contract with Bayern after he turns 16 on February 26 and could earn £100,000 per week if he meets certain goals, according to the report.
Rising star
Liverpool and City are big clubs, and one can understand why the Reds and the Citizens are reportedly interested in the youngster.
Described as “amazing for his age” who “keeps the ball, has great dribbling” by Bayern star Joshua Kimmich on Bundesliga.com in November 2020, the youngster has already played in the league, the Champions League and the Club World Cup.

According to WhoScored, the teenager has made two starts and 13 substitute appearances in the Bundesliga so far this season, scoring three goals in the process.
Musiala has also made one start and two substitute appearances in the Champions League this campaign, according to WhoScored.
Bayern could have a gem on their hands in Musiala.
