Sam Allardyce is considering handing debuts to five of Everton’s youngsters as he prepares his new side to face Cypriot outfit Apollon Limassol in a meaningless Europa League clash, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Toffees have already been knocked out of the competition, with just one point from five games after suffering two losses to both Lyon and Atalanta in a group where they were expected to ease into the knockout stages.
With Sunday’s Merseyside derby approaching in Allardyce’s third game in charge of the Toffees after Thursday night’s dead rubber, Allardyce is expected to rest his first-team stars.

However, the Liverpool Echo claim the former England manager will go one better and hand five debuts to Everton’s youngsters – namely Alex Denny, Harry Charsley, Nathan Broadhead, Fraser Hornby and Michael Collins.
Of the five, four are teenagers with Charsley now 21 years of age as he remains one of the most experienced members of the Toffees’ second string with 71 appearances in his career for the Under-23’s.
However, he is yet to make a first-team appearance along with his four teenage teammates, but Allardyce could continue the Toffees’ faith in youth by handing five debuts out in just his second game in charge.
The report also claims that Sandro Ramirez and Davy Klaassen could also be given a start against their Cypriot opponents, as the two summer signings continue to struggle on Merseyside.
