Leeds United are closing in on their first deadline day signing.
According to a report from Spanish website El Progreso, winger Alfonso Pedraza has passed his medical ahead of a loan move to Leeds United.
The 20-year-old is owned by Spanish side Villarreal but he has been on loan at CD Lugo this season, scoring six goals and providing eight assists in 22 La Liga 2 matches.

However, that loan spell has been cut short, allowing him to move to Leeds until the end of the current campaign.
It has then been agreed that he will sign a permanent deal worth £8.5million if Leeds win promotion back to the Premier League.

Garry Monk’s side is currently flying high in the Championship and they have the squad to ensure they remain in the play-off places – or even push for automatic promotion – come May.
Pedraza is an exciting player who can operate on either wing or as a forward if required, and he should bring additional goal threat to Leeds, easing the pressure on top scorer Chris Wood in the process.
