Fulham are reportedly on the verge of signing the Swansea City defender.

According to a report from Sky Sports, Swansea centre-back Alfie Mawson is currently undergoing a medical at Fulham, ahead of his proposed move to Craven Cottage.
Fulham have been in talks with Swansea for the £25 million-rated ace over the past few days, according to the Daily Mail, and it seems as though the Cottagers are on the verge of bringing the Hillingdon-born defender to Craven Cottage.
The 24-year-old joined the Swans from Barnsley in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £5 million, and he has gone on to become a real fan favourite at the Liberty Stadium, notching up 71 appearances in the process.
If Swansea manage to sell him for the reported fee of £25 million, it would represent a substantial profit for the Welsh outfit, but that is not to say that Fulham would not be getting a good deal too.
What will Mawson bring to Fulham?

The 24-year-old is a strong and commanding centre-back, and he will undoubtedly bring a certain level of physicality and leadership to the Cottagers’ back-line.
In today’s day and age, £25 million for someone with Mawson’s quality represents excellent value for money, and if he does complete his switch to Craven Cottage, it could turn out to be a real coup for Fulham.
