Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has reportedly snubbed a move to Chelsea.

According to BBC Sport, Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has rejected a £40million move to Chelsea – and he has set his heart on a move to Liverpool instead.
Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Arsenal from Southampton back in the summer of 2011 having thrived as a youngster with the Saints, where he was tipped to become one of England’s biggest talents.
Now 24, Oxlade-Chamberlain has so far failed to live up to that billing, having hit just 20 goals in 198 games for the Gunners whilst even failing to show what his best position is, having featured out wide, in central midfielder and, most recently, at right wing back.

Arsenal have though attempted to tie Oxlade-Chamberlain down to a new contract, but the England ace has rejected that offer, with his current deal at the Emirates Stadium set to expire at the end of the season.
That means that Oxlade-Chamberlain could leave for nothing next summer, but Arsenal had agreed to sell him to London rivals Chelsea for £40million, only for him to reject the move, according to BBC Sport.
It’s claimed that Oxlade-Chamberlain is tired of being played as a right wing back with Arsenal, and having feared that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte had similar plans for him, he has snubbed the move to Stamford Bridge – and is desperate for a move to Liverpool instead.

It’s stated that Oxlade-Chamberlain has his heart set on a move to Anfield, and Liverpool are expected to make a bid to land him before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Should Oxlade-Chamberlain get his move to Liverpool, it’s unclear just where he would play; Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have the flanks locked down, whilst moving into the centre would see him compete with Georginio Wijnaldum and Emre Can, who were both impressive against Arsenal on Sunday – meaning Oxlade-Chamberlain may again face a real fight for first-team football.
