According to The Scottish Sun, West Ham United striker Albian Ajeti has asked for more time to consider a move to Celtic.

The Bhoys are pursuing a season-long loan move with a £5million permanent option clause included in the move.

Sky Sports reported on Monday night that Ajeti was heading up to Glasgow for a medical today, but that may not happening now.

West Ham and Celtic have allegedly come to an agreement, but Ajeti himself has gone home to Switzerland to consider his options.

Ajeti wants more time to weigh up whether a move to Celtic is what he wants right now, with Neil Lennon already having other targets in mind if he ends up saying no.

The 23-year-old has played just four minutes of Premier League action since football returned, and hasn’t started a single league game since joining West Ham last summer.

Ajeti seems to have no future under David Moyes, and a move to Celtic should be appealing given their European football and the chance to reunite with Mohamed Elyounoussi.

The pair played together at Basel, smashing 30 goals and 22 assists together in the 2017-18 season, but the prospect of the dangerous duo reuniting now seems to be in some doubt.
