According to a report from Spanish publication Marca, Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno is dreaming of returning to boyhood club Seville.

The 26-year-old’s future at Anfield looks bleak, with Andy Robertson well ahead of him in the left-back pecking order, and his contract with the Reds set to expire in the summer of 2019.

Moreno joined Liverpool from Sevilla in the summer of 2014, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of £12 million, but he has never really hit the heights that were expected of him.

Much will depend on what happens between now and the end of the season, and whether the Spaniard is actually given a chance to impress by Jürgen Klopp.

Moreno will be allowed to talk to foreign clubs from January 1st, however, and with Robertson continuing to impress, it would be no surprise to see the 26-year-old leave Liverpool in the near future.

And Marca claims that his dream is to retunr to La Liga side Sevilla.
