According to the Chronicle, Alassane Plea has picked Newcastle United as the club in England he wants to join.

Plea has been linked with West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham by Sky Sports in recent times.

Whether Nice, who reportedly value Plea at £27m, will deem Newcastle’s second bid more acceptable remains to be seen, but if the Magpies fail, the Chronicle suggests that West Bromwich Albion forward Salomon Rondon could come on to their radar.
