Chaos at Ajax could help Tottenham Hotspur get their man.

Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in defender Mattijs De Ligt was reported by The Telegraph earlier this month and they have received a potential boost to sign the centre-back.
De Ligt, 18, is a senior Netherlands international already and a former teammate of Spurs ace Davinson Sanchez.
Ajax missed out on the league title at the weekend, losing to rivals PSV Eindhoven.

This is due to frustration with coach Erik Ten Haag, and while Ajax are in second place, they are an unassailable 10 points behind champions PSV.

De Ligt is an Ajax academy kid who will have more loyalty to his club than most, although money will talk.
The defender said this week he will make his choice over his next club with regard to it being the ‘right team’ rather than money, but Spurs will still have to meet Ajax’s asking price.
Football London reported earlier this month that it will take around £50 million to convinced Ajax to sell.
