It has been reported that the Dutch giants want to sign the 20-year-old – who can operate as a left-back or as a left-winger – on loan from Spurs this summer.
Ajax – who have won the league title in the Netherlands 34 times and the European Cup/Champions League four times in their history – have asked Tottenham whether Sessegnon will be made available on loan for the 2020-21 campaign.
The report has claimed that Ajax boss Erik ten Hag is looking at the England Under-21 international as a potential replacement for Hakim Ziyech, who has joined Chelsea for £40 million.
Tottenham Hotspur stay?
Much was expected of Sessegnon when he joined Tottenham from Fulham in the summer of 2019.
However, there were injury problems, and the attacker did not play to the best of his ability when he was on the pitch.
The England Under-21 international is still only 20 years of age, and Spurs should not give up on him and should keep him at the club for next season so that he can work with head coach Jose Mourinho and establish himself in the starting lineup.
