Liverpool, Juventus and Inter are amongst a host of clubs keeping an eye on Martin Odegaard, but reports suggest that Ajax are in pole position.
Martin Odegaard has been flavour of the month since he became the youngest player ever to appear in the European Championship for Norway.
The 15-year-old is currently playing for Strømsgodset, but it is widely believed that he will be off to a bigger club soon and a queue is forming.
Liverpool are believed to be in the frame and the Italian press are convinced that Juventus are preparing their move, but Dutch side Ajax could be frontrunners.
At many of his other potential suitors, Odegaard would be facing the likelihood of spells on loan or in the reserve team, so Ajax may be an attractive proposition.
The club’s manager Frank de Boer has admitted that he is interested in signing Odegaard in a recent interview, which was recognised by the player’s father, who insisted he will be weighing his options up soon.
