Nottingham Forest have conceded 42 goals in the Championship so far this season.

According to a report in the Telegraph, Aitor Karanka wants a new goalkeeper and a centre-back at Nottingham Forest in the January transfer window.

Forest are in the market for additions this month, as Karanka looks to strengthen his squad.

The Spanish boss has only had a brief amount of time to analyse the problems at the City Ground, but he already has his eyes on additions.

Karanka sees problems at the back, and would like Forest to sign a new goalkeeper and a central defender.

The Reds have had difficulties limiting opposition chances this term, and they have conceded 42 goals.

Only four Championship teams have conceded more goals than Forest, and that simply isn’t good enough for a team who were hoping to challenge for promotion at the start of the campaign.

Karanka is renowned as a manager who builds his team around a solid defence, and it appears that the former Middlesbrough boss’s first intention is to tighten up Forest’s backline.
