Liverpool are being linked with a number of centre backs – and one of them has allegedly made it clear he’s leaving.
The Athletic reported last week that Liverpool are finalising a deal for RB Leipzig ace Ibrahima Konate, though that rumour has gone a little quiet of late.
Ozan Kabak could yet have his loan turned permanent having arrived from Schalke in January, but another name in the mix is Real Betis star Aissa Mandi.
Estadio Deportivo reported earlier this month that Liverpool were interested in Mandi, and he was interested in a move to Anfield.
However, the Reds had cooled their interest, seemingly backing away just as the rumours surrounding Konate began to emerge.
Now, Estadio Deportivo claim that Mandi has decided to inform Betis that he intends to leave the club when his contract expires this summer.

The Algerian is wanted by Lyon and Inter Milan, whilst this new report notes that Liverpool may actually still be an option for the defender as mixed signals emerge
Mandi, 29, may be appealing as a free agent, and his ability on the ball has to be attractive too, but at nearly 30, he would be a surprise Liverpool target.
The ship may have sailed on Mandi heading to Anfield despite their need for a defender, and we would expect Kabak or Konate to be more likely signings.
