According to Estadio Deportivo, Liverpool have cooled their interest in Real Betis defender Aissa Mandi as a move elsewhere begins to look more likely.
It’s claimed that Mandi would like Liverpool’s interest to accelerate as he seemingly fancies a move to Anfield, but it just isn’t happening right now.
Lyon are thought to be emerging as a prime contender for Mandi’s signature, whilst Inter Milan are keen on taking him to the San Siro in a big move.
Liverpool have allegedly cooled their interest in recent weeks, and a move to Merseyside looks unlikely for Mandi – especially with links to other defenders.
The Athletic claim that Liverpool are finalising a deal for RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate, with a £34million move for the Frenchman their priority right now.
Mandi may have been an option if a deal for Konate wasn’t possible, but their interest in Mandi waning just as Konate’s arrival looks more and more likely seems to make sense.

The Algerian international, 29, has played more than 150 games for Algeria and represents an experienced option, whilst also being cheap given that he is out of contract this summer.
Maybe Mandi is a name to keep an eye on just in case the Konate deal collapses in the coming weeks, but it now looks like he won’t be heading to Anfield this summer.
