According to Todofichajes, the agent of Stefan Savic is speaking to both Tottenham Hotspur and AS Monaco.
The report has claimed that Monaco have joined Spurs in the race for the Atletico Madrid central defender.
The 29-year-old Montenegro international’s agent has told Atletico that he is in talks with Spurs and Monaco, according to the report.
It has been further claimed that Atletico will not stand in the way for an exit for the former Manchester City defender.
Good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?
Jan Vertonghen is out of contract at Tottenham at the end of this month, and with no new deal in place for the Belgium international central defender, it does look very likely that he will leave the North London outfit as a free agent.
Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho will need a replacement, and given Savic’s (short) experience in the Premier League with City and his performances for Atletico over the years, he would be a smart addition to the team, especially as a back-up to Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez.
