Super agent Mino Raiola has managed to find a way to terminate Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s contract at Arsenal, according to Il Tempo.
Mkhitaryan’s loan at Roma was extended until the end of next season last night, and reports in Italy suggest that his Arsenal contract will be allowed to expire.
It means that the Gunners will not receive a fee for the Armenian, although they have been able to get his wages off their books.
Il Tempo suggest that Raiola played a big role in convincing Arsenal to terminate Mkhitaryan’s deal, and he will now receive a sizeable fee for the transfer from Roma, according to the latest reports.
Arsenal may have been hoping to agree a fee for Mkhitaryan, as that could have boosted their own budget for the summer.
However, it seems that the Gunners have been unable to negotiate a price for the winger.

His departure should not impact on Arsenal too much in the immediate future, as he has been out on loan all season, and appeared to have no future in Mikel Arteta’s side.
Mkhitaryan has done fairly well so far in Serie A, scoring six goals in 15 games.
