Hwang Ui-jo wants to join Bruno Lage’s Wolverhampton Wanderers amid interest from David Moyes’s West Ham United and Stade Brest, according to The Express.

West Ham target Hwang Ui-jo wants Wolverhampton Wanderers move

The Express are reporting this morning that Wolves have made an opening bid for Bordeaux forward Hwang, and that he wants to make the move to the Molineux Stadium in the summer transfer window.

Bordeaux have turned down that bid, according to the report, which has added that fellow French club Stade Brest are also keen on the 29-year-old South Korea international forward.

Interestingly, Hwang told G4E in July that he received offers from Nantes and West Ham.

Could a transfer happen?

In our view, if Wolverhampton Wanderers make a better offer for Hwang Ui-jo, then the Premier League club could be able to sign the Bordeaux forward in the summer transfer window.

The French club have financial problems at the moment, and while they are surely not going to sell their players on the cheap, there will be pressure.

Hwang himself wants to move to Wolves, which makes it easier for the Wanderers to get a deal done.

The 29-year-old forward scored 11 goals and gave two assists in Ligue 1 last season, and scored 12 goals and provided three assists in the league in 2020-21.
