However, Los Blancos are also drafting up a shortlist of alternatives, which is where the man in talks with Tottenham enters the fray.
Bad news for Tottenham in their pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic
Firstly, let’s just make it clear that Tottenham have their attractions, despite the lack of Champions League football in N17.
Spurs can offer targets the chance to play at Europe’s best stadium, while Hotspur Way also offers the grandest of training facilities.
Additionally, being situated in London is also a huge pull factor in itself.
Having said this, no club can match what Real Madrid bring to the table.
The Spanish giants are viewed as the pinnacle of football, and they barely have to do anything to lure targets to Madrid – the attraction is timeless.
There is now a huge possibility of Tottenham missing out on Vlahovic, which would be a great shame for Nuno Espirito Santo.
The Serbian appears to be the next big thing, and has already netted six goals in eight appearances this season.
Things might be okay if Real Madrid get their hands on Håland, but it’s certainly worrying to see Ancelotti shortlist Vlahovic.
