Nicolo Zaniolo has been making headlines throughout the transfer window, and according to Il Messaggero, the Italian midfielder is now convinced that he will be joining AC Milan this summer.

Zaniolo has had a tumultuous season at Roma, where he has fallen out with Jose Mourinho and has been banished from the first-team squad.

These recent events have resulted in speculation surrounding his future, with several top clubs such as Tottenham and Leeds United being linked to the talented player.

It was reported that Zaniolo had even agreed to join Tottenham, but the deal never materialized as the north London club failed to make an adequate bid for the player.

Zaniolo now believes that his next step is to join AC Milan, a move that he believes will help him get back on track and reach his potential.

The midfielder was once widely regarded as one of Italy’s brightest prospects, but after a disappointing recent spell, he needs to rediscover his best form.. If Zaniolo does move to Milan, he will be joining a club that has a rich history of success and a proud tradition of developing talent and helping players get back to their best.

Indeed, in recent years Milan have helped the likes of Olivier Giroud, Fikayo Tomori and Brahim Diaz all find a new lease of life after disappointing spells elsewhere.

At AC Milan, Zaniolo will have the opportunity to play under the tutelage of manager Stefano Pioli, who likes to nurture struggling talents, while Zaniolo will also have the chance to play alongside a number of experienced players who’ve seen it all in the game such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Giroud.

Il Messaggero’s report that Nicolo Zaniolo is convinced that he will be joining AC Milan in the summer is a major development in the transfer market, and while it looked like he would be moving to the Premier League, it now seems he will be staying in Italy for the foreseeable future.
