Tottenham and Arsenal are the biggest of rivals on the pitch, and unfortunately, this rivalrly also seems to be spilling over into the transfer window.
The two north London clubs have continuously been linked with the same players all summer long.
Arsenal have bid for Raphinha, who has been linked with Tottenham, while Antonio Conte’s side are also keen on Gabriel Jesus – who is reportedly in advanced talks with the Gunners.
Of course, Raphinha and Jesus aren’t the only two players being courted by both Spurs and Arsenal, Richarlison is in a similar boat, as is Alvaro Morata.
Unfortunately for Arsenal, Tottenham are now in for another of their targets, Cody Gakpo.
Indeed, according to Sky Sports, Spurs have enquired about the Dutch winger, and beating the Gunners to his signature may really sting.
Gakpo has been absolutely outstanding for PSV this season. He won the Eredivisie Player of the Year award after notching 13 goals and 12 assists, and there is reason to believe he could be an absolute superstar if he came to the Premier League.
Arsenal and Spurs seem to be continuously locking horns over attacking players, and while we don’t know where the likes of Richarlison, Jesus, Raphinha or Gakpo will end up this summer, it’s safe to say that at least a couple of those players may well end up in north London – even if they’re on different sides of the divide.
