According to Calciomercato, West Ham have submitted a bid to sign Giacomo Raspadori, after Newcastle failed with an offer in April.
What’s the story?
Well, it was said that Newcastle saw a £21m bid rejected by Sassuolo for the 22-year-old in April.
Now, David Moyes has joined Eddie Howe in making an offer of his own for the Italy international, who has been described as a “brilliant” forward.
However, Calciomercato believe the Hammers have suffered the same fate as Newcastle – their bid has also been rejected by the Serie A side.
The Italian news outlet add that Juventus are also trying to sign Raspadori as a replacement for Alvaro Morata, who is set to return to Atlético Madrid once his loan officially ends.
AC Milan are also looking to sign the forward after securing a deal for Divock Origi.

Calciomercato believe Sassuolo want €30m (£26m) for their No.18 – a fair price given his efforts last season.
In 38 appearances, Raspadori scored ten goals, while also providing six assists.
Newcastle & West Ham have a fight on their hands
While the Premier League duo are in a better financial position to meet Sassuolo’s asking price, it will be difficult to fend off two European giants in Juventus and AC Milan.
Few players in Italy would turn down a move to either of those sides, with only Inter having as much pulling power as Juventus and AC Milan.

Of course, Raspadori might fancy something different with a move to the Premier League, in which case we believe West Ham would be the favourites for his signature with Europa League football on offer.
Having said that, Newcastle have enough money to blow their competition away, so in truth, anything could happen in this four-way transfer battle.
Be sure to keep an eye on this saga, as Newcastle and West Ham could soon improve their offers.
