According to The Telegraph, Michael Beale has rejected the chance to become the new manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Midlands club have been without a manager for a fortnight now after sacking Bruno Lage, and it had looked like they were closing in on making Beale their new head coach.
However, the Molineux outfit may now have to go back to the drawing board as Beale has reportedly rejected a move to the Midlands in order to stay with QPR.
This is the second time Wolves have been rejected by a top managerial target after Julen Lopetegui knocked them back earlier this month, and it’s difficult to see where they turn to next.

Nuno Espirito Santo had been linked with a return to Molineux, but Wolves reportedly didn’t want him as they want to head in a different direction.
Peter Bosz has also been interviewed, so perhaps they return down that route.
To be fair to Beale, rejecting Wolves is the honourable thing to do. He’s only been at QPR for four months after getting his first senior management role, and there was a feeling within the wider footballing world that he owed them a bit more loyalty than just ditching them at the first possible juncture.
QPR currently sit at the top of the Championship, and with Wolves firmly in a relegation battle at the moment, Beale may have felt that his best chance of managing in the Premier League next year would have been with the Rs.
Bruno Lage’s former side are in turmoil right now, and with no managerial appointment on the horizon, their slide could continue for a few weeks yet.
Jeff Shi needs to have a trick up his sleeve here, because Wolves are quickly becoming a bit of a disaster zone in the Premier League and the longer this managerial hunt goes on, the tougher it may be to attract a top coach.
