Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United could now reportedly move for Khephren Thuram after missing out on Dominik Szoboszlai to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
According to The Northern Echo, Newcastle United are looking at Khephren Thuram as a potential alternative to Dominik Szoboszlai, who is on the verge of moving to Liverpool.
The report has claimed that Newcastle wanted to sign Hungary international attacking midfielder Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig.
However, the 22-year-old is moving to Liverpool instead, with Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reporting on Twitter that he will undergo the first part of his medical today.
According to The Northern Echo, Thuram is “an alternative option”, but Nice want over £60 million for the 22-year-old France international midfielder, described as “fantastic” by the French club’s former caretaker-manager Didier Digard on RMC Sport.

Could Newcastle United sign Khephren Thuram from Nice?
In our opinion, Newcastle United could be able to sign Khephren Thuram from Nice in the summer transfer window.
But, for that to happen, the Magpies need to pay the asking price.
Just like with Szoboszlai, Newcastle have to accept that they need to make big money to sign top players.
If Nice want £60 million for Thuram, then the Magpies will have to pay around that much and not try to or hope to do a deal for £40 million or so.
It is as simple as that.
