After Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea, it is now Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United who have reportedly bid for Real Madrid defensive midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
Defensa Central have reported that Newcastle United have joined Liverpool and Chelsea in the race for Real Madrid and France international star Aurelien Tchouameni.
The report has claimed that Newcastle have made a bid of €80 million (£69 million) for the 23-year-old.
Madrid, though, have no intention of selling the player they signed from AS Monaco only in the summer of 2022, according to the report.
It was Defensa Central who had reported earlier this month that Chelsea have made an offer of €60 million (£59 million) for the youngster, and that Liverpool’s bid of €60 million (£59 million) has been rejected by Madrid.

Newcastle United unlikely to be able to sign Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni
In our opinion, Newcastle United are unlikely to be able to sign Aurelien Tchouameni from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
Tchouameni is one of the best young defensive midfielders in the world, and there is no way that Madrid would sell him after just one season.
Yes, the defensive midfielder did not have the best of times for Los Blancos last season, but he is a big talent.
And Tchouameni himself is unlikely to be too keen on leaving arguably the biggest club in the world to join a team who have qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in years.
