According to Gazeta Esportiva, Arsenal have been in frequent contact with Santos wonderkid Kaiky, as have Chelsea and Manchester United.
The Brazilian news outlet claim that the Gunners have constantly been talking to the 17-year-old’s representatives, and are thinking about bidding.
Gazeta Esportiva state that Arsenal are evaluating the possibility of making an offer in January 2022.
It is also said that Arsenal’s analysts watch every single one of Kaiky’s games, which is very interesting to know.
Kaiky has a contract with the Brazilian giants until November 2023.
His current deal with Santos includes a release clause of €70 million (£60 million) – surely, nobody will pay that for a 17-year-old.
Kaiky has only ever made 15 first-team appearances, scoring once while also picking up two yellow cards in those outings.

For a 17-year-old, that isn’t a bad amount of first-team experience.
So, what type of player is Kaiky?
Well, Football Talent Scout compared him to Brazil and Chelsea centre-back Thiago Silva, who is one of the best defenders of his generation.
They add that Kaiky is a very strong passer of the ball, and is also excellent at tackling and heading.

Arsenal have already had success dipping into the Brazilian market when they signed Gabriel Martinelli.
In Kaiky, they could have another South American gem on their hands.
However, with Chelsea and Manchester United keen, as well as Juventus and Ajax, Mikel Arteta faces a real battle to land his man.
By the sounds of it, he’s worth fighting for.
Arsenal have missed out on many great players over the years, so it would be a shame to lose out on a prodigy who could become a superstar.
