Report: After failure to convince Milan ace, Tottenham midfielder Sissoko is Trabzonspor priority

Trabzonspor are keen on Moussa Sissoko.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko remains a top target for Turkish side Trabzonspor.

Turkish outlet Gunebakis, who first reported their interest last week, report he has become a priority for the club.

Trabzonspor had been attempting to sign Jose Sosa from AC Milan, but he is unwilling to move to Turkey.

Now Sissoko is back at the top of their wanted list, although their preference is for a season long loan deal.

Sissoko signed for Tottenham from Newcastle last season and failed to impress, earning only eight starts under Mauricio Pochettino in the Premier League.

This coming season is a crucial one for the midfielder as he is desperate to make France’s 2018 World Cup squad.

His next move will have to factor in whether it will aid his chances of making Didier Deschamps squad.

Trabzonspor do not have the profile of a top European side nor the Champions League football to offer so it would be a risk, but it may be even more of a gamble for the midfielder to sit on the bench at Spurs.
