According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham will have to pay €50m (£41m) if they want to sign Gleison Bremer from Torino.
What’s the story?
Well, the Brazilian’s reputation is growing with each passing week, and Torino seem to be aware of this.
As a result, they have nearly doubled their asking price.
It was only recently that Mikel Arteta, Jürgen Klopp and Antonio Conte were told to pay £21m to sign the 25-year-old.
Now, the Italian outfit have added £20m to that sum, as they attempt to fend off interest from the Premier League.
That will obviously frustrate Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham, although it presumably doesn’t put an end to their pursuits given the resources available to these sides.
So far this season, Bremer has made 29 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals while also providing one assist.
Tottenham should pay Bremer asking price, not Arsenal or Liverpool

In our view, Spurs are the only side who can justify spending £41m on Bremer.
Conte needs more quality in the centre-back department to help Cristian Romero and Eric Dier, whereas Arteta and Klopp aren’t as desperate for central defenders.
Liverpool already have Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate, whereas Arsenal have Ben White, Gabriel Magalhães, William Saliba and Rob Holding.

Furthermore, if any Premier League club knows Bremer’s true value, it will be Spurs given their strong Italian connections.
Fabio Paratici – Tottenham’s Director of Football – spent years in the same role at Juventus, where he built solid connections, as has Conte during his time managing in Serie A.
Therefore, we think Tottenham will win this transfer battle, but make sure to keep an eye on developments as the saga unfolds.
