Report: After Assombalonga exit 3 more Forest players likely to leave

Lica, Damien Perquis and Vladimir Stojkovic all told they can leave Nottingham Forest by Mark Warburton.

Britt Assombalonga became the latest player to leave Nottingham Forest this summer when he completed a club record £14m transfer to Middlesbrough (BBC).

Now Reds manager Mark Warburton has told three more of his squad that they are free to exit the City Ground and the trio are all expected to move on in the coming weeks.

None of Lica, Damien Perquis and Vladimir Stojkovic feature in Warburton’s first team plans and were left out of the club’s pre-season tour of Florida, reports the Nottingham Post.

All three arrived at Forest under former head coach Philippe Montanier, but will all see their stay at the Championship club end after just a year.

Lica actually spent the latter half of last season on loan at Estoril and a report from Portuguese publication A Bola suggests a move back to the Primeira Liga outfit was likely.

Perquis seems to have been a victim of the fact Warburton has so many options in central defence, while Stojkovic will leave to make room for another goalkeeper to join – with the Reds strongly linked with Liverpool stopper Adam Bogdan.
