We’re entering the final stretch of the January transfer window, and things are heating up.

Arsenal have reportedly made contact to sign Weston McKennie over the past few days, and now, according to Di Marzio, Leeds have followed suit.

Juventus were always going to be a club to keep an eye on as we headed into the final week of this window.

The Italian giants are in a perilous position after being docked points after some dodgy accounting over the years, and now, they may be raided for some of their talented stars.

McKennie has been linked with a move away from Turin for quite some time, but it looks as though the race for his signature is well and truly on.

Arsenal, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, have been in contact about this move, and Leeds have now been in touch with Juventus about making this transfer happen.

McKennie may have to choose between Arsenal and Leeds, and that may not be a straightforward a choice as you may imagine.

On one hand, Arsenal are leading the title race at the moment and the chance to win the Premier League is alluring to any player.

But, at the same time, he’s not a guaranteed starter at the Emirates. Whereas, at Leeds, he’d probably be the club’s most important player from day one.

He has been dubbed as ‘superstar’ in the past, and he’d be joining a club culture that suits him to a tee full of young, promising players – a number of which are American.

Of course, there is the caveat that Leeds could be relegated this season, but after showing all sorts of ambition this month, the Whites will be hoping to steer well clear of the drop zone.

McKennie is certainly a player to keep an eye on as we enter the final few days of the January window.
