Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have already failed with a bid for Aurelien Tchouameni, but Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea believe that they could be able to sign the Real Madrid midfielder in the summer transfer window.
According to Defensa Central, Chelsea have made a bid for Real Madrid defensive midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, just days after Liverpool made an offer for the £119,000-a-week (SalarySport) 23-year-old.
The report in the Spanish news outlet has claimed that Chelsea have offered Madrid €60 million (£51 million) and believe that they could reach an agreement with Los Blancos.
It was also Defensa Central who reported earlier this month that Madrid have turned down an offer of €60 million (£51 million) from Liverpool for the former AS Monaco star.
Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni unlikely to join Chelsea or Liverpool
In our view, Real Madrid are not going to sell Aurelien Tchouameni to Chelsea or Liverpool in the summer transfer window, especially for just €60 million (£51 million).

Why would Madrid sell the midfielder for a loss?
After all, the former La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners paid €80 million (£68.46 million) for the France international midfielder only in the summer of 2022.
There is no way that Madrid are going to offload as good and promising a midfielder as Tchouameni after just one season.
Madrid have just signed Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund, and they also have Eduardo Camavinga on their books.
Los Blancos have a midfield department for a decade now.
Yes, Tchouameni struggled with injuries last season and could not always get into manager Carlo Ancelotti’s team when he was fit and available, but the France international defensive midfielder is only 23 now.
