Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham is reportedly wanted by Mark Warburton.

According to The Scottish Sun, Nottingham Forest boss Mark Warburton is eyeing another raid on former club Rangers, as he is targeting goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

Warburton has already snapped up striker Jason Cummings from Hibernian as well as winger Barrie McKay from Rangers, reuniting with the latter in the process having worked together at Ibrox.

Former Gers boss Warburton still has work to do in the transfer market, and he has money to spend having seen striker Britt Assombalonga leave for Middlesbrough earlier this week, with BBC Sport reporting the fee to be £15million.

Warburton will want to reinvest some of that money on a new striker, but The Scottish Sun also report that he is keen to sign a new goalkeeper – and wants to reunite with Rangers ace Wes Foderingham.

Warburton signed Foderingham for Rangers back in the summer of 2015, having seen the former Fulham and Crystal Palace goalkeeper impress in League One with Swindon Town.

The 26-year-old has been one of Rangers’ most consistent players since his arrival two years ago, and he has made almost 100 appearances for the club having cemented himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.

Warburton has already managed to raid his former club to sign McKay, but convincing Rangers to sell goalkeeper Foderingham should be a much tougher task for Forest, given his key role at Ibrox.

However, with the windfall from Assombalonga’s exit, Warburton may well have money to spend on signing a new goalkeeper, and he may be able to make Rangers an offer they can’t refuse for the shot-stopper.
