Tottenham Hotspur appear to be out of the race for Adrien Rabiot.

According to Le10 Sport in France, the mother and advisors of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot have told Tottenham that they won’t be joining in 2019.

Rabiot, 23, has become one of the top young midfielders in Europe during his time with PSG, making more than 200 appearances whilst winning four league titles.

A French international with six caps to his name, Rabiot is an immensely talented player, but he looks set to leave PSG on a free transfer next year.

Rabiot has refused to sign a new contract with the French giants, and with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season, he appears to be on the move.

Many clubs have been linked with signing Rabiot, but Le10 Sport report that Tottenham are now out of the running, whether that be for a January cash deal or a free transfer at the end of the season.

It’s stated that Rabiot’s advisors and mother have communicated to Spurs that the midfielder won’t be signing for Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

With Spurs desperate for midfield additions, Rabiot’s alleged snub is a blow for Pochettino and co, as he would have been perfect in the heart of the Spurs midfield.

A technically-gifted player with a superb left foot, Rabiot could have dictated play alongside Harry Winks for years to come, but instead, he could end up joining a Premier League rival, with Arsenal and Manchester City keen.
