According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian San Miguel could yet leave the club this summer despite being offered a new deal.

It’s claimed that Liverpool have offered a new contract to Adrian in the hope of keeping him at Anfield for a while yet.

However, Adrian hasn’t agreed yet and is considering leaving Liverpool because he has offers on the table from teams in Spain.

Heading home could be appealing to Adrian, as he has been playing in the Premier League since leaving Real Betis in 2013.

Adrian is now backing up Alisson at Liverpool, and he may yet be behind Caoimhin Kelleher next season too, which is something for him to think about.

If there is an offer on the table to play in Spain, that could be appealing to the 34-year-old rather than sitting on the sidelines at Liverpool even if Jurgen Klopp clearly values him highly, branding him ‘pure class’.

When Adrian was in goal for Liverpool’s 7-2 defeat at Aston Villa in October, it looked like his Reds career would be coming to an end this summer.

Liverpool may want to keep Adrian for another year after Kelleher’s recent injury issues, and the veteran stopper has plenty to think about with interest back home.
