El Nacional are reporting that Madrid are optimistic about signing Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022.
It is being reported that Adidas, who sponsor Madrid, could help with the transfer fee needed for Martin Odegaard’s Norway international teammate.
The striker’s father and agent would prefer him to move to Barcelona where he would work with Xavi and be the protagonist.
Madrid are reportedly planning to sign Haaland and Kylian Mbappe in the summer of 2022.
Blow for Liverpool and Newcastle United
Adidas are massive.
If they back Madrid in their pursuit of Haaland, then it will be a blow for Liverpool and Newcastle.
Both the Reds and the Magpies are reportedly keen on the 21-year-old.
Haaland was described as “a special striker” by Liverpool central defender Virgil van Dijk on Sky Sports last month.
Newcastle are interested in Haaland, according to AS (print edition, page 2, October 16, 2021).
