Everton are reportedly set to complete a deal for Charlton Athletic attacker Ademola Lookman.

According to The Mirror, Charlton Athletic forward Ademola Lookman is expected on Merseyside in the next 48 hours to complete a £10million move to Everton.

The Toffees are looking for January reinforcements after an up-and-down season under Ronald Koeman so far, with fans wanting some players to make an instant impact.

However, even after landing Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Sheffield United on deadline day back in August, the Toffees look set to add another young English striker from a League One club.

The Mirror report that a £10million deal to sign Charlton Athletic starlet Ademola Lookman is close to completion, with the teenager expected to arrive on Merseyside in the next 48 hours to complete a move.

Lookman, 19, has starred for Charlton since making his debut in November 2015, hitting five goals in 24 games last season as the Addicks suffered relegation to League One.

This term, Lookman – who can play up front or out wide – has notched seven goals in 25 games, and his performance as well as his potential appear to have attracted Everton’s interest.

With seven caps for England at youth level, Lookman appears to have a bright future ahead of him, and Everton will be hoping that he becomes a star under Koeman’s tutelage once the deal is completed.

Whilst one for the future, Lookman may come into the first-team setup immediately, given that Yannick Bolasie is out for the rest of the season, with a role out wide maybe in the pipeline rather than up front to begin with.
