Newcastle United are set to offload a number of their fringe players over the coming months.

According to a report in the Chronicle, Achraf Lazaar could be set to make a swift exit from Newcastle United.
Lazaar was only brought to St. James’ Park last summer, but he has struggled to impress in his first season with Newcastle.
The 25-year-old is said to be keen on a move away from Newcastle, with Italy or Spain his preferred destinations.

Lazaar was signed by Newcastle from Palermo just under 12 months ago, but he has failed to break into Rafael Benitez’s first-team.
And Lazaar is not keen to stay and fight for his place, despite Newcastle’s promotion to the Premier League.

Benitez is said to be willing to sanction a transfer for Lazaar, as he looks to make room for new additions.
Newcastle are expected to be highly active in the summer transfer window, meaning that Lazaar could be one of a number of fringe players at St. James’ Park who are moved on over the coming months.
