Strikers Patrick Cutrone and Niall Ennis could be on their way out of Wolverhampton Wanderers, with Gianluca Di Marzio reporting that the former could be heading to Marseille.
With just 22 goals in their 15 Ligue 1 matches thus far, Andre Villas-Boas’s L’OM side are desperate to bring a penalty-box poacher to the Stade Velodrome this month with a rare title-race taking shape over in France.
And, despite a miserable loan spell at Fiorentina, Cutrone has joined Arkadiusz Milik, Willian Jose and the ‘expensive’ Gaetan Laborde on Marseille’s winter wish-list.
Di Marzio reports that Parma are also interested in the one-time AC Milan starlet.
Wolves are expected to demand around £16 million for 22-year-old Cutrone, who looks set to miss out on a permanent move to Florence after failing to find the net in 11 Serie A appearances this season.
“If a player is not happy to stay at Fiorentina can leave,” Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli told Football Italia in December.
Cutrone is not the only striker heading out of Molineux this month either.
The Express and Star believes that 21-year-old Ennis, a Wolverhampton-born academy graduate, will bring an end to his long association with the Black Country giants in a matter of days.
Ennis, like Cutrone, has struggled for form out on loan and saw a spell at League One strugglers Burton Albion cut short this week.
