AC Milan are reportedly plotting a move to sign Chelsea striker Armando Broja, with the youngster heavily linked with Everton and Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.
According to CalcioMercato, the Rossoneri plan to go ‘all out’ for the 21-year-old forward in 2023, with Milan hopeful of making Broja their main signing for next year as Stefan Pioli looks to bring the Chelsea prospect in as the club’s long-term striker.
Olivier Giroud and Divock Origi are the club’s main starting strikers with veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovich working his way back to full fitness, and Broja has been viewed by Milan as a potential signing who could take their forward line to the next level, with the striker also an ideal partner for the likes of Rafael Leao and Alexis Saelemaekers.
As per the report, Chelsea value Broja at €30m (£27m) with the Blues likely to use the youngster as only a backup for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, which could help Milan’s chances significantly of landing a deal to sign the Premier League star.

Milan are far from the only club interested in Broja, though. Everton and Newcastle were both reportedly desperate to sign the striker in the summer, with West Ham also reportedly coming close to signing the attacker before a deal collapsed at the final hurdle.
Indeed, with Broja unlikely to feature much for Chelsea between now and the January window, the striker could decide to take his talents elsewhere, and Milan could be perfect for the Albanian international given the Rossoneri’s incredible record with signing young players in recent years.
Milan would trump signing for Everton or Newcastle for Broja

Broja was heavily linked with a Premier League move in the summer, and whilst joining another club in England would have made sense following his successful loan spell at Southampton last season, Milan are simply too perfect for the 21-year-old to turn down.
After all, Milan’s recent success has been entirely built on signing young players with incredible potential and developing their game to what suits them best, and for Broja, becoming the next Leao, Sandro Tonali or Theo Hernandez feels like a guarantee should the forward move to the San Siro.
